Definition
The Information Security Unit is responsible for the security and protection of all information, devices and the network at Taif University from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, viewing, inspection, registration, destruction, or any internal or external risks.
Vision
Work to implement the vision of the Deanship of e-Learning and Information Technology by providing the highest standards and specifications of information security and applying best practices in information security.
Objectives
1- Supporting the university's business strategy
2- Protection of information and technical assets at the university
3- Achieving compliance with information security requirements, legislation and standards
4- Promote best practices behavior in information security
Departement tasks
The most important responsibilities of the Information Security Unit include providing advanced technical security and protection for the university, applying the basic principles followed in the university’s information security system, configuring, maintaining and monitoring all university information security systems, examining systems, detecting weaknesses, managing anti-virus systems, controlling physical access to sensitive university systems, and so on. To manage information security incidents and incidents and respond promptly to them.
