College of Medicine participated in a campaign to raise awareness of diabetes in Taif University
date of publication : 2018-12-02The College of Medicine, Taif University participated in a campaign to raise awareness about diabetes organized by Taif University in cooperation with the Ministry of Health represented by the Directorate of Health Affairs in Taif province. Dr. Sultan Al Malki, the Vice Dean of Clinical Affairs- College of Medicine, explained that the objectives of the campaign include diabetes awareness. Diabetes is one of the most serious health challenges in the world for the 21st century. It threatens both developing and developed countries. Complications of diabetes includes cardiovascular disease, neuropathy, amputation, kidney failure and blindness can lead to disability and low life expectancy.
