Message from the Vice President for Academic Affairs & Development
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has taken great civilizational and confident steps in all areas of modern life as it is blessed by Allah with several assets, including the two Holarty Mosques, natural resources, and a unique blessing of rulers who adopted the rule of the law of Allah.
The vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030, launched by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has led the Kingdom towards safety in light of the international economic fluctuations by building an advanced knowledge society that adopts science and knowledge as a real and immortal wealth, which forms the basis for a strong and solid economy and serves as an inexhaustible capital. And that the economy of a country is dependent only on its skilled citizens in various fields, the wise leadership in this country has chosen to give this aspect extra care and attention.
In the context of these dramatic developments, unprecedented leaps, and existing challenges, the ability of the universities to confirm their survival, maintain their sites, and upgrade their capacities depends on their ability to carry out their educational, professional and research duties including community service. Also, it depends on improving their educational outputs, especially the final product which is the university graduates and enabling them to enter into the labor market and job competition and serve their country and their nation.
The quality of the university graduates is no longer an option but a duty that cannot be neglected. The true construction of the countries is dependent on the true construction of the human being, and this would not be achieved without the adoption of development as a means and an end.
The University President, aware of the important role of the universities in achieving the vision of the wise leadership for development and prosperity, ordered to merge the Office of the Vice President For Academic Affairs and the Office of the Vice President for Development and Quality into one body under the name of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs & Development, which is one of the leading initiatives to comply with the Vision of Saudi Arabia 2030. Hence, the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs & Development is considered one of the efficient offices as it is concerned with two important university’s divisions representing the academic and development aspects which are complementary and inseparable. The Council of Education Resolution No. 26 dated 8/1/1438 was issued to merge the university's offices of the vice presidents to reaffirm the intent of the new administration of the University under the leadership TU President Prof Yousef Abdo Asiri, the University President, to achieve the highest standards of quality in education and make them a supreme goal that is inseparable in any way from the essence of the educational process and is not in isolation from the constant improvement of its output. This obliges us to work tirelessly to be up to the given confidence and the assigned work in order to achieve excellence in our performance.
In this sense, the website of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs & Development has been designed to serve as a beacon for students and faculty members as well, which illustrates the organizational structure of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs & Development, deanships, offices, the affiliates of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs & Development, its objectives, and tasks.
