Initiative goals:
1-Encouraging university faculty members and students to achieve qualitative scientific research.
2-Spreading the competition in the field of patents.
3- Protecting the intellectual rights of the inventor and documenting them officially.
The importance of the initiative:
1-Raising the level of interest in the quality and output of scientific research.
2-Rewarding a faculty member who is active in research.
3-Converting this patent into a marketable product and benefiting from a portion of its income.
Beneficiaries of the initiative:
1- Faculty members at Taif University with all their academic degrees (demonstrator, lecturer, assistant professor, associate professor, professor).
2-Students of Taif University.
Terms and Conditions:
1-The applicant must be a faculty member or a student at Taif University.
2-The applicant has obtained a patent for the invention from an approved body.
3- The submitted work was completed during the period of work or study of the inventor at the university.
4- The affiliation of Taif University, Saudi Arabia must be included
5 - The inventor did not receive a distinction allowance for the same patent applied for this award.
6- There is no precedent for the advanced inventor regarding breach of scientific integrity
7 - In case that there is more than one inventor from Taif University registered in the patent, the money is divided among them in a equitable manner according to the effort of each individual and a declaration is signed by them in this regard.

-The award is granted to only one of the three categories above, and it cannot combine them.
-In addition to the amounts proposed above, the university bears the patent registration fees, if any, with a maximum of 40,000 riyals for patents registered in the United States, Europe, or Japan. However, the university bears the patent registration fees, if any, with a maximum of 15,000 riyals for other countries.
