The College of Arts celebrated the International Day of the Arabic Language in cooperation with the Deanship of Library Affairs

Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of Taif University, Prof. Youssef Asiri, Taif University represented by the College of Arts celebrated the International Day of the Arabic Language in cooperation with the Deanship of Library Affairs.

During the celebration, the Deanship of Library Affairs presented a seminar entitled (Libraries and their role in supporting and promoting the Arabic language and its dictionaries). A group of faculty members participated in it, and the seminar was presented by Vice Dean of Library Affairs, D.Abdul Majeed Al-Sufyani. 

The library’s participation in the seminar was represented by several topics: The first topic was about University Libraries and their role in promoting the use of the Arabic language with the participation of Dr. Latifa Al-Buqami. The second topic was entitled the role of libraries and their services in terms of indexing and classification in supporting the Arabic language, with the participation of Dr. Hamad Nile.

The seminar finished with the third topic on the presence of the electronic dictionary, and the experiences of digital dictionaries, with the participation of Dr. Amal Al Aboud.

The seminar was attended by a group of people interested in the Arabic language, intellectuals and academics.
