Volunteering in the Nursing

Dear students of the Nursing College

The Nursing College at Taif University is keen to support and encourage students to join health volunteering because of the positive effects on students, for example:
1. Acquire more medical skills and information.
2. Developing interpersonal skills
3. Optimal investment of time.
4. Obtaining voluntary certificates.
For this reason, the college open this page to support you to apply for health volunteering by providing important links to the official volunteer platforms, including the volunteering mechanism and the experiences of volunteers from the college. In conclusion, we welcome you and do not hesitate to request consultations.

If you want to volunteer in hospitals, follow these steps:

  1. Print your identification form.

  2. Coordinate directly with the hospital in which you wish to volunteer and obtain initial written approval.

  3. The college addresses the hospital based on this approval and requests a report at the end of the period.

I am a nurse student Muhannad Abd al-Hadi al-Manjumi. I volunteered, praise be to God, from the year 2020, and I have more than 600 hours of volunteering. I was able to participate with my brothers in the Ministry of Health, and I also volunteered for the Saudi Red Crescent. My participation with them varied between the easy and complex work such as guid the people and saving lives. Both places had a great impact on me such as  increasing self-confidence, and love helping others. In conclusion, my advice to you to take the opportunity of volunteered in health which is not available to many peoples.

I am Roaa Al-Saedi. I study at the second level in Nursing programe. I entered the world of volunteering in 2020. Thank God, I have more than 390 hours of volunteering. Some ask me why I volunteered, and my answer is simply because volunteering gives hope and meaning to life, and because volunteering gives me an opportunity to see the world of others and shows me how people deal with illness and injuries and how they can overcome the difficulties and health problems they face. All this gives me self-confidence and thanks to Allah, who gave me health. My advice to every saudi male and female nurses not to let fear be a cause of not to volunteered. And remember that volunteering will add a huge amount of experience in social and professional. Remember no matter how hard you face, do not give up.
