Taif University organized in cooperation with the Sports Union of Universities. Saudi Arabia Workshop "The reality of sports activities for students" The participants called for the start of activating sports competitions for female students in all universities and  preparing sports teams in some competitive sports, taking into account the correct standards and basic principles. The workshop ended with a closed panel discussion for university representatives to discuss the challenges facing universities to activate female students' sport The University honored the President of the Sports Federation of Saudi Universities Dr. Abdullah Al-Buqmi and the speakers in the workshop sessions.

His Excellency the Director of Taif University d. Hossam bin Abdulwahab Zaman said that the workshop is in line with what the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has witnessed during the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and His Crown Prince, of great qualitative and developmental leaps, especially with regard to programs for empowering Saudi women and programs to improve the quality of life.
