Highlighting the Kingdom’s role in promoting the values of tolerance
date of publication : 2023-11-20In conjunction with the International Day for Tolerance, which marks on November 16 of each year, the Intellectual Awareness Unit at Taif University organized a virtual lecture via the Maharat platform entitled (Highlighting the Kingdom’s role in promoting the values of tolerance), presented by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Nasser bin Saud Al-Qathami, on Wednesday, 1/5/1445 AH.
Where he highlighted:
- The concept of tolerance and its purpose.
- what’s the tolerance in Islam.
- The importance of tolerance in promoting coexistence.
- The status of tolerance and its manifestations in Islam.
The lecture also touched on the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in promoting the values and culture of tolerance and rejecting hatred and extremism in life, and the initiatives provided by the Kingdom in this regard throughout the world.
In conclusion, His Excellency the Head of the Intellectual Awareness Unit, A. Dr. Misfer bin Aida Al-Maliki spoke about tolerance as a human value and a necessity to accept differences with others in order to achieve harmony among members of society. His Excellency praised the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its valuable efforts in spreading the values of tolerance and coexistence called for by Islam and its role in establishing the concept of dialogue at the world level.
