Taif University Council approves the launching of the Diploma Program in Programming Technology

Chaired by the University's President Dr. Husam Zaman, Taif University Council approved in its eighth session the launching of the Diploma Program in Programming Technology and the updating of the study plan of the Diploma Program in Computer Maintenance, both at the Community College.

Dr. Fahad Al-Turaisi, Secretary of TU Council, explained that the decisions also included approval of the proposed amendments to the Industrial Engineering Program in accordance with the program's name and academic accreditation requirements. The Council also approved the voluntary research proposal submitted by the College of Community Service and Sustainable Development.

Dr. Al-Turaisi pointed out that the University Council took note of the numbers and names of students expected to graduate in all MA programs at the end of the current academic year. The total number of students expected to graduate are 327 students, including 82 students in the college of Education, 33 in the College of Science, 22 in the College of Arts, 92 in the College of Sharia and Law, 10 in the College of Medicine, and 88 in the College of Business Administration.

Other matters were also approved, including the requirements for the appointment of assistant professors in the College of Dentistry, and the granting of the MA degree to the late student Ahmad Saad Al-Shuaibi in recognition of his fulfillment of all the MA degree requirements before he passed away.

Per the statistical report of the Council Secretariat for the academic year 2018/2019, TU Council held eight sessions, during which 167 ordinary resolutions were discussed, of which 42 were developmental decisions, i.e., 27% of all decisions taken.
