TU offers 25 graduate programs this year

Taif University President, Dr. Hossam Zaman, has confirmed that the university received increase in its budget this year, pointing out that the university will direct this increase towards improving the educational environment and developing electronic services.

During his speech at the annual forum of faculty members last Monday, Dr. Zman thanked the wiss government led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for its support to the education sector in general and Taif University in particular.

He announced that the university will offer 25 graduate programs this year, followed by another 25 programs next year. A new round of programmatic transformation will be launched to activate academic courses and programs, support them with skills and practical applications, and establish new programs that combine more than one specialization.

Dr. Zaman revealed that the official statistics at the university show a clear disparity in the level between the two sides of students (females/males) for the benefit of female students. He indicated that the procedures of standardization of academic courses and tests aimed at raising the level in both.

He announced that the university will open research labs before the end of the current semester, in which all the research equipment and requirements will be available for the most scientific disciplines.

Dr. Zaman stressed on all faculty members not to tolerate with any form of scientific thefts. He stressed the importance of the role of the faculty members in addressing this phenomenon, by informing students that every research is read, compared and reviewed, and that those who discover that they commit fraud or scientific theft are referred to a disciplinary board.

TU President noted that the university received the first batch of grant students from different countries; they enrolled in different academic disciplines; and other groups will join them next year. The university is keen to internationalize the student community and enrich it as much as possible with students (males/females) from different countries to share with the Kingdom's students in learning and gaining experience. He stresses the importance of spreading the sense of belonging to this university and benefit from its professors.
