Taif University launches 3 partnerships for cooperation, integration, and understanding with Traffic, Education, and Municipal Affairs

Under the patronage of the Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, 

Taif University has recently launched three new partnerships for cooperation, integration, and understanding with the General Directorate of Traffic, the General Administration of Education in Taif Governorate, and the Municipality Secretariat in the presence and under the patronage of the Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz. TU President Dr. Husam bin Abdulwahhab Zaman, Major General Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Bassami of the General Directorate of Traffic, Dr. Talal bin Mubarak Al-Lihaibi, from the General Administration of Education, and Eng. Muhammad bin Humayyil Al-Humayyil from the Secretariat of Taif Governorate signed the agreements and memoranda of understanding.

The agreement, signed by Taif University and the General Directorate of Traffic, aims to establish a driving school for men and women with international standards and best practices in the field, providing theoretical education, simulation and practical training for driving and controlling the vehicle before going on the road, ending with obtaining a driving license in accordance with a perfect training course, and a system of assessment that includes theoretical and practical elements that meet traffic safety standards and training. The agreement stressed that all educational and training facilities shall be available in the school according to professional standards, including classrooms, simulator laboratories, safety hall, field training course, and all supporting services to complete training and facilitate procedures.

While the memorandum of integration signed between Taif University and the General Administration of Education in the Governorate laid out areas of joint cooperation between them to support the educational field with educational, cultural, training and research programs in order to achieve the general strategic objectives and directions of education in Saudi Arabia, to promote and improve the society of the province, to contribute to the achievement of sustainable development for the general community groups in Taif and the educational community in particular, and to contribute to the development of the county's education in accordance with the regulations and orientations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in this regard.

The Memorandum of Understanding signed between Taif University and the Municipality provides for the formation of an effective strategic partnership between the University (represented by the College of Engineering) and the Municipality, which contributes to achieving their strategic objectives and initiatives in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and achieving sustainable development in various engineering, technical, and technical fields. Areas of cooperation between TU and the Municipality will include training, community partnership, libraries, information and data bases, utilization of laboratories, research, studies, and consultations.
