Taif University celebrates World Poetry Day
date of publication : 2022-03-23Taif University, represented by the College of Arts, and in cooperation with Arabic Poetry Academy, has celebrated the World Poetry Day, which is on March 21 of each year, by holding a theatrical dialogue, a poetic morning, and sung poems.
TU confirmed that Arabic poetry has a wide impact on preserving identity and culture, noting that poetry is a form of expression, embodying language, and cultural identity.
It is noteworthy that TU is among the most important incubators of Arabic poetry, and its celebration of World Poetry Day aims to encourage a return to the oral tradition of poetic ceremonies, enhance the teaching of poetry, and revive some other arts such as theater, dance, music and painting.
