A Virtual Forum for World Mental Health Day

Under the patronage of TU President, Prof. Yousef bin Abdo Asiri, the University Guidance Management and the Committee of Mental Health Promotion, organized a virtual World Mental Health Day Forum.

The university’s participation in the World Mental Health Day stems from its mission towards the Taif community in all aspects of life as the healthy, psychological, material, and social aspects.

The General Supervisor of the Academic Advising Department, Dr. Khadija Al-Qurashi, explained that the forum aims to enhance mental health at the university, promote positive behavior and resist anti-social behavior, activate the role of family and all community institutions in reducing violence, invest students ’abilities and talents, and improve the quality of their psychological life. .

The forum discussed in two sessions many issues related to mental health:

 The first session dealt with the role of family counseling centers, the impact of violence on security of society, the impact of plastic arts on mental health, and the role of child literature in improving the quality of life for people with disabilities.

In its second session, the forum also dealt with issues like anxiety, anger management skills, and the role of cyber psychology in facing violence and crimes.
