TU discusses the role of innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity in Vision 2030

Taif University today witnessed a rich discussion on the issues of innovation, entrepreneurship and creative ideas, and their role in achieving Saudi Vision 2030. This was part of Knowledge Enrichment Program II, organized by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University, and was attended by a large number of students and faculty members.

The entrepreneur Jamal Abdulrahman Al-Zamil explained that entrepreneurship has become a culture in the whole world with a strong impact on the economic indices of countries, stressing that governments are seeking to spread the culture of entrepreneurship and support for the development of the labor market, and create an environment that can face challenges.

Dr. Faisal Ahmad Allaf, a participant in the program, noted that Saudi Vision 2030 creates many opportunities for entrepreneurs in the Kingdom, noting the keenness of the leadership and state institutions to make these economic opportunities available and visible to all entrepreneurs, to contribute to the development of their society and the economy of their country.

Deputy Secretary-General of the Taif Chamber of Commerce, Mona Al-Zahrani, stressed the need for entrepreneurs to have clear business plans, including a detailed vision of cash and financial flow, a marketing plan, and plans for market challenges.

Dr. Sattam Al-Otaibi, Head of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at TU, explained that the Knowledge Enrichment Program II included practical training and discussion sessions specialized in various topics, including the role of innovation in launching entrepreneurial projects, and entrepreneurship in industrial projects for startups and medium enterprises, as well as how to transform entrepreneurial ideas into operational plans, stressing that the pilot projects contribute to the achievement of the goals of Saudi 2030, noting that the program seeks to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurial work for students.

Saudi Vision 2030 stressed that small and medium enterprises are one of the most important drivers of economic growth, as they create jobs, support innovation and promote exports.
