TU hosts and sponsors TEDxShihar
date of publication : 2019-07-23Last Saturday, Taif University hosted TEDX's TEDxShihar, which aims to highlight ideas worth spreading. In the presence of TU Acting Provost Prof. Turki Al-Thubaiti, 8 speakers from Taif and other cities presented their ideas in various fields.
Selected by an independent jury, TEDxShihar speakers presented on diverse topics in economics, electronic applications, architecture and design, sports, translation, media and life in general.
The theme selected for this event was "Taif Is the Land of Minds.” On the sidelines of the event, an accompanying exhibition was held, which included a number of initiatives, projects and innovations by Taif young men and women, as well as by TU Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
The organizers thanked the sponsors of the event for contributing to social responsibility and providing them with a service that benefits the young people of the country who are the mainstay of the country and its development in Saudi Vision 2030.
