TU concluded its student activities for the academic year 2018/2019 with a grand ceremony, which featured various artistic, musical, and operatic performances. The ceremony, held under the patronage of President Dr. Husam Zaman, showcased active participation by female students in the ceremony.

The theme of the celebration, chosen by Taif University, is "We Start from Here" in reference to the fact that extra-curricular activities are an important startup for students to highlight their potential, talents, and skills for their professional, social and cultural future.

TU Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Bandar Al-Bugami said in a speech, "Student activities are a vast field in which students exercise their hobbies, develop their personality, improve their skills, and occupy their free time. Positive thinking is no less important than academic study. We at the Deanship of Student Affairs strive to equip students with knowledge, faith, and awareness, to broaden their horizons of knowledge, to wean them from fetishizing on their specialized textbooks, to participate and enjoy all manner of extracurricular activities.”

TU Booklet of Statistics indicates, among other things, that the Deanship of Student Affairs for the current academic year carried out 1,684 activities, from which 232,847 people benefited. Student activities included 52 cultural activities benefiting 144,080 people, 30 sports activities benefiting 11,299 people, and 11 scientific and health volunteer activities benefiting 6,260 people.

The celebration also featured a monodrama entitled "Dream." Three female students made three portraits of the founding king Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. The celebration also included a dramatic performance entitled "We Start from Here" and an operetta in which two female students acted as prologues in between interludes.

At the end of the ceremony, TU President honored the government agencies cooperating with the university in supporting student activities, as well as the colleges and departments involved in the implementation of these activities, as well as outstanding teams representing TU in outside competitions.
