University Council tasks

The twentieth article of the Higher Education Council system stipulates the following: With adherence to what this system and other regulations require, and what the decisions of the Higher Education Council requires, the University Council undertakes the conduct of scientific, administrative and financial affairs and the implementation of the general policy of the university and has in particular:

Approving the training and scholarship plan.

Propose the establishment of colleges, institutes, departments, research centers and support deanships, and the proposal to amend, integrate or cancel their names.

Approving scientific specializations and graduate studies programs.

Granting degrees to university graduates.

Granting an honorary doctorate

Determine the details of the academic evaluation in accordance with the general framework of the beginning and end of the study and determine the leave that permeates it.

loan, delegating faculty, dispatching them to scientific tasks, granting them a scientific devotion, and ending their services.

Approving the curricula, study plans, established books and references based on the proposal of the colleges councils and competent institutes.

Suggest rewards and benefits for students of all kinds.

Approving the university budget project and submitting it to the Minister of Higher Education

Approving the internal regulations of the university, which does not arrange financial or functional benefits.

Suggest or amend the university's regulations.

Discussing the annual report in preparation for its presentation to the Higher Education Council.

Determine the amounts allocated to each college, institute, support deanship, and an independent research center for spending, including within the limits of the financial regulations.

Discussing the final account of the university in preparation for submitting it to the Prime Minister.

Approving the university's infinical activity plans.

Deciding on the appointment of faculty members based on the recommendation of the Scientific Council.

Accepting donations, gifts, wills, and others, provided that it does not contradict the basic purpose for which the university was established.

Establishing the rules regulating and transferred students from the university.

Consider the topics referred to by the Minister of Higher Education or the Director of the University, or that any member of the Council proposes to be presented. The Council has the formation of permanent or temporary committees from among its members or others to study what it costs.
