Coinciding with World Cancer Day, Turabah University College organizes an awareness day
date of publication : 2022-01-13Coinciding with World Cancer Day, Turabah University College implemented a day to raise awareness of cancer in the college lobby, to educate college students about the causes of this disease, methods of prevention and symptoms of infection, and to clarify treatment options for it, in addition to distributing brochures.
The campaign witnessed a turnout from the students, who learned about the way cancer cells spread, that it is a malignant and irregular proliferation, and they listened to some advice from them about the importance of detecting the disease early because of its contribution to saving the patient from death by a rate ranging between 30-40% compared to the discovery of the disease in late stages, and early detection of the disease has a cure rate of more than 80%.
