TU confirmed that it is working on six local programs in the final stage of accreditation from the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment. These programs are Medicine and Surgery, Doctor of Pharmacy, Dentistry, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, General Biology, and the English Language Program. At the international level, the University's efforts culminated in the accreditation of six academic programs by the American Accreditation Council for Engineering and Technology. Programs accredited are Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Information Technology. TU also confirmed that the College of Community Service and Continuing Education obtained accreditation from the American Council for Vocational Education for 6 years. TU adopted a mechanism for international accreditation explaining the steps of accreditation and regulations to obtain it. TU also sought to obtain local and international accreditation for its programs in 2017-2018 in response to the National Transformation Project 2020, and in response to the directions of the Ministry of Education to bridge the gap between education outputs and the requirements of the job market.

Through this project, 46 academic programs have been developed, including 41 undergraduate programs and 5 for the Community College. Five new programs were developed, three at the College of Engineering, and two at the College of Sharia and Systems. The Programmatic Transformation Project resulted in 27 new graduate programs that meet international benchmarks. 83 external arbitrators participated in the arbitration of these programs, including 67 professional arbitrators, 15 ministries and government bodies in the arbitration of graduate programs created at the university.

The Programmatic Transformation Project enhances the alignment of the outputs of the educational system at TU with the job market and various developmental and industrial sectors. The PTP included the development of new professional programs in certain quality disciplines that serve Saudi Vision 2030 and the job market. Noteworthy among the new programs are Renewable and Clean Energy, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Medical Education, DNA and Forensic Evidence, Vocational Law and Practice.
