Under the scientific and research exchange program with KAUST, TU holds a seminar on Fluid Mechanics and Its Applications

TU’s College of Science held a seminar on Fluid Mechanics and its Applications in engineering sciences and medical industries. The seminar was presented by Dr. Sigurdur Thoroddsen, Professor of Mechanical Engineering at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST).

Dr. Abdullah Al-Shareef, Head of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Taif University, said that the seminar entitled "Droplet Impact on Fluids and Imaging Using High Resolution Cameras" was part of the scientific and research exchange program between TU and KAUST. Dr. Al-Shareef pointed out the importance of the seminar, as it deals with aspects related to fluid mechanics and applications in engineering sciences and medical industries, and to identify the droplet impact on fluids, using high speed cameras. According to Dr. Al-Shareef, the seminar recommended conducting research and joint projects of common interest related to the medical and engineering industry, utilizing laboratory capabilities at KAUST.
