First Scientific Meeting with the University President
date of publication : 2021-03-18The President of Taif University, Prof. Yousif Asiri launched a series of periodic scientific meetings (virtual) for all faculty members. The university leadership believes in the role of scientific research in development and advancement and in line with the Kingdom's vision 2030 in developing institutional work
and raising the research and knowledge efficiency of faculty members and the establishment of ways of intellectual and scientific communication between them. The President was keen to manage the first periodic meeting and delivered a speech that included broad outlines and general directives for research activity at the university.
He also directed to the importance of research cooperation in interdisciplinary support for university members by statistical analysis of the levels of cooperation between departments in the same college and between departments in different colleges and their branches during the previous year. The university president also indicated the great importance the university attaches to these upcoming meetings, which will enrich research and knowledge ways of acquaintance between the various scientific and humanitarian disciplines. This represents the global trend of high-quality research by merging disciplines and coming up with applied research points.
