The word of the dean

In the name of Allah, the most beneficent, the most merciful.
Prayers and peace be upon the master of all prophets and messengers.
Our prophet, Muhammad, his family and all his companions.
The role of the university is not only limited to education and scientific research, but also exceeds that to carrying out activities that meet the needs of the community, contribute to its development and overcome any problems that might arise. This can be achieved through harnessing available competencies, scientific/administrative bodies, and research centers to do all that is required in line with the strategic objectives of the Kingdom’s vision 2030.
Herein lies the brilliance of the Deanship of Community Service and Sustainable Development, being entrusted with this sublime duty in accordance with its specialty, which is represented in four axes, namely:
1- Increasing community participation between the university and its surroundings.
2- Organizing volunteer efforts.
3- Contribute to raising awareness in the community.
4- Supporting non-profit charitable sectors.
With the grace of Allah, the Deanship of Community Service and Sustainable Development has attained many outstanding achievements, successful projects, purposeful activities and awareness/volunteer services since its inception. It continues to provide, generously and affectionately, with all that would advance the community and achieve its aspirations. This was only possible through the concerted efforts, solidarity and cooperation of all university staff and students. My most sincere gratitude to them all. Special thanks are due to His Excellency the President of Taif University, Prof. Yousif Asiri, for his gracious guidance, constant support and everlasting encouragement.
We, in the Deanship of Community Service and Sustainable Development, aim to be a pioneering role model in community engagement and always strive to achieve all that community members and institutions aspire to. It is truly our privilege to continue supporting and guiding all groups, classes and bodies (governmental or private) in all fields of life - in cooperation with university colleges, deanships, support institutes and centers – and for the greater good of our growing community.
