Report on school visits to the Chemistry Department on the occasion of the Arab Week of Chemistry (2019)

The Department of Chemistry believes in its social responsibility and in activation of the role of the College of Sciences in community service. The department organized a number of school visits to the two parts of the department on the occasion of the Arab Week of Chemistry from 29/2 to 3/3/1441 AH.

Visiting Program (Students' wing):

1- Welcoming students and their supervisors at the Deanship of Student Affairs.

2- An introductory tour for students in the department's labs.

3- Introducing students to chemistry laboratory equipment in terms of glassware and chemicals.

4- Introducing students to the research apparatus in the department's laboratories.
5- Explain safety and security rules and tools in the department's laboratories.

6- Participating students in conducting some interesting and distinguished scientific experiments.

Visiting program (Female Students' wing):

1- Receiving visiting female students and their supervisors at the Deanship of Female Students Affairs.

2- An introductory tour for female students at the department's labs.

3- Watching a PowerPoint presentation in one of the department's labs to introduce the different chemistry sections and the equipment of chemistry labs in terms of glass tools and chemicals, and explain safety and security rules and tools in the department's labs.

4- Introducing female students to the research apparatus in the department's laboratories.

5- Involving female students in conducting some interesting and distinguished scientific experiments.

6- Carrying out some competitions and fun games for female students.

7- Some posters and gifts were presented to visiting students.
