The University of Taif, represented by the Faculty of Education, organized during the summer vacation and for four weeks 24 training courses, for teachers of general education in the fields of curriculum and methods of teaching science, mathematics, English language and special education, involving more than (800) teachers in various disciplines.
Dr. Bakor Kamal, dean of the Faculty of Education at Taif University, explained that the training courses for teachers were held in the context of the integration of efforts between them and the Ministry of Education to achieve the kingdom's vision 2030 in the field of training and qualification of the teacher in the service of knowledge and education to play his roles in Improve and develop teaching and learning processes.
Dr. Kamal said that the courses offered by the University of Taif for teachers of general education focused on recent trends in teaching, such as: STEM, language and content Integration (CLIL), and laboratory teaching.
The dean of the Faculty of Education at Taif University stated that the training courses also addressed the treatment of people with special needs, by providing the participating teachers with the skills of effective teaching for the students of the class IQ, the skills of dealing with students of hypermobility and distraction, and the skills of educational supervision Effective for students of this category.
Dr. Kamal noted that the University of Taif started in the last academic year to apply the program of educational diploma developed, and ensured that the program of educational diploma developed of the nature of the applied, and linking its content with the strategies of teaching and learning and the operations of classroom management, and to give the student teacher skills Procedural research, with the mastery of measurement and evaluation processes and linking them to learning, in order to promote positive attitudes towards the teaching profession and to ensure the effectiveness of the future teacher, in order to achieve the advancement of the teaching profession.
Dr. Kamal said that the development of the educational Diploma program came in collaboration with the UNESCO Regional Centre for Quality and excellence in education, in light of the initiatives of the University of Taif to develop its academic programs, through the Project Transformation programme, which is in line with the Kingdom Vision (2030) and its requirements.
