The Department of Pathology main research is on basic and clinical research. Our research mission is focused on the enhancement of our understanding of pathologic mechanisms of disease. Clinical research is driven by the clinical interests of the faculty with active collaboration, where appropriate, with the basic science programs. Creating an environment which nurtures and supports young investigators so that they may have the opportunity to develop into either independent research investigators or, in the case of more clinically oriented faculty and residents. The department is interactive with collaboration with different hospitals and medical centersin the Western Area of KSA.
