TU Acting President Dr. Saad Al Zahrani expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the patronage of the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, on Monday in signing an MOU to launch a strategic partnership between TU and the Directorate of Prisons in the region.

Dr. Al-Zahrani noted that the MOU includes several areas of joint cooperation between both sides, including leveraging the Directorate of Prisons of TU’s human expertise and resources, obtaining administrative, financial, technical and legal advice, and supporting the development of human resources in the Directorate, and providing psychosocial and family counseling.

Dr. Al-Zahrani explained that TU’s cooperation with the Directorate of Prisons aims at developing, supporting and transferring knowledge outside the university’s walls—in response to Prince Khalid Al-Faisal's invitation to universities to go beyond their walls and serve the community.

His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al Faisal attended the signing of strategic partnerships between the Directorate of Prisons in the region and four universities: Taif University, King Abdulaziz University, Umm Al Qura, and Jeddah.

TU Acting President Dr. Al-Zahrani signed the MOU on behalf of TU, while Major General Majed Al-Duwaish signed on behalf of the Directorate of Prisons.
