TU organizes volunteer and community campaigns in Ramadan

Taif University, represented by the Deanship of Community Service and Sustainable Development and the volunteer teams of the University, participated in several volunteer and community campaigns during the holy month of Ramadan in partnership with a number of governmental and non-governmental sectors.

Dean of Community Service and Sustainable Development Dr. Rana Zaini said that the initiative aims to promote Islamic values and to reflect the spirit of cooperation and solidarity among society members. She pointed out that the most prominent activities are the participation of the voluntary teams in the initiative of Providing Breakfast to Fasting People, in cooperation with the National Social Development Committee, and the Fast to Be Healthy campaign in cooperation with the Health Affairs Office at Taif. The campaign included the early detection of chronic diseases among Taif residents and visitors.

Dr. Zaini expressed her thanks to the Director of Health Affairs at Taif Dr. Amal Al-Faifi for launching the Fast to Be Healthy campaign and the Director of Health Programs and Chronic Illness Department Dr. Atiyya Al-Zahrani for his cooperation with the Deanship.
